Bio

I fight for good people whose freedom and reputations are on the line. I’ve been practicing criminal law since 1991, starting as a prosecutor in Socorro and Truth or Consequences, then as a Deputy District Attorney for 9 years here in Las Cruces.

I started The Lahann Law Firm in 2007 with the mission of providing the best possible defense for people accused of crimes in New Mexico.

When you’re facing serious criminal charges, choosing who will defend you in court is the most important decision you will make. Your lawyer is the only person standing between your freedom and the vast resources of prosecutors who want to take it away. I’ve tried over 300 felony cases—both as a prosecutor and as a defense attorney—and I’ve been very successful in convincing juries to see things my way and come back with verdicts favorable to my client.

I love being a trial lawyer, and it shows in court. Frankly, I believe I’m one of the best at what I do, but don’t just take my word for it—ask around. I’ve represented hundreds of clients throughout Las Cruces, from high school and college students to college professors and retirees. I’ve even defended those who know the criminal justice system best: police officers, prosecutors, and judges.

Your criminal case is the most important thing in the world to you and I know it. That’s why I fight for every client with everything I’ve got.

Your choice of lawyer is the most important decision you will make. Come in and talk to me before you make that choice. I’ll give you an honest assessment of your case and whether our firm is a good fit for you.
